Good Dog Manners In-home Training

Basic Manners: Good Dog Academy coaches YOU and assists in training your dog in the convenience of YOUR home and neighborhood. We know that a well-mannered dog results in a relaxing home environment, makes it pleasurable for you to entertain house guests, not to mention gives you the confidence you need to take your dog with you out in public.

Focus will be placed on the following: Attention, Sit, Down, Stay, Recall, Loose-lead walking, Polite Greetings, Settle, Leave-it, and problem prevention.

Basic Manners Program begins with a 2 hour initial consultation and subsequent one hour lessons can be scheduled individually or purchased in a package of 6.

Initial Consult (2 hours): This session is designed to introduce you to the techniques we will be using, acquaint you with the basics of canine behavior, evaluate your specific needs and set you and your dog up for success. We will end the session with some foundation skills training and begin focusing on any problem areas that require immediate attention.

Study Hall: Following an initial consultation, you can focus specifically on one key area of concern. Trainer will meet with you for a one hour session to address any of the following: problem jumping, leash pulling, and recall problems.
